Traveling with small children isn't exactly most adults' dream. Images of screaming kids on airplanes probably quickly fill your head when you think of going on vacation with kids. However, there are benefits to traveling with young kids — like that they cost less than older kids, they're usually more flexible, and it prepares them to be avid travelers when they're older.
We've taken our two-and-a-half year old with us on almost 30 flights, and both our children started flying at 10 weeks old. We certainly got the most out of their lap-child status! And while it wasn't always easier than staying home, it was definitely more fun in the long run.
