Why Labor And Delivery Nurses Are Rock Stars In Our Book
They Really Listen To Us
Some women want to talk about their birth trauma, or their fears of giving birth and L&D nurses are amazing at really listening to us. One woman shared she was really upset one night at needing to have her baby in the nursery while she caught up on sleep and her nurse sat on her bed and just listened to her talk and cry about her rough pregnancy and her feelings of trauma after the fact. In the dark, in the quiet of the room, it was exactly what she needed.
Nurses have an amazing ability to really listen and be there for us when we are most vulnerable.
