Why Labor And Delivery Nurses Are Rock Stars In Our Book
They Don't Take Things Personally
A lot of moms will report saying some brightly colored words in the throes of labor. The pain is unlike anything we've ever experienced and that, combined with the stress, can make us fly off the handle when we're normally pretty even-keeled. Many have reported that they're later apologizing for what they said and their nurses are quick to wave a hand.
"Oh don't worry about it," they say, "I don't take anything a laboring mom says personally!"
It's what makes them so special. There are no grudges. There's no lesser care provided because we spewed an F-bomb to them while our babies were crowning.
