Why Labor And Delivery Nurses Are Rock Stars In Our Book

Labor and delivery and breastfeeding take a tremendous amount of our energy. We need the calories and nurses are great at making sure we're getting them because they know how important they are. 

The nurses are there, ordering food for us after the kitchen closes, and making sure we're ordering the maximum amount of food we can so we have some leftover for snacks during the night when the hunger can strike the most.

We spoke with a woman who said her nurse ordered her a cheeseburger ten minutes after she gave birth because the kitchen was closing and the nurse didn't want her to go without a meal. She said she ordered it and it was delicious.
