4. Establish A Bedtime Routine
According to The Sleep Sense Program, the ideal bedtime routine lasts no longer than 30 minutes. Predictability is key, so your nightly ritual should always follow the same steps in the same order. It might look something like this:

1)Put on pajamas
2)Go potty/Put on diaper or pull-up
3)Brush teeth
4)Read stories
5)Sing songs
6)Get in bed
7)Kiss and hug!

Using the same words as you leave the room (e.g. "Goodnight. Have safe and happy dreams") can provide your child with much-needed security as they drift off.
