Tricks For Getting Your Kids To Sleep Through The Night

2. Restrict Liquids
If you have an older toddler or preschooler who is out of diapers, you may want to limit drinks before bed. If their body is telling them it's time to go potty throughout the night, their sleep is going to be interrupted (whether it's those signals that wake them up or their wet sheets). 

I'm not suggesting you dehydrate your child, but you can invert the pyramid for fluid intake. That just means that you encourage consumption of liquids during the day and simply taper off before bedtime.
