8. Volunteer at your child's school
I know what you're thinking. You're busy. We know. But if you want to help your child succeed in school you need to show interest and know what's going on in her classroom. And, believe it or not, there are often volunteer jobs for evenings and weekends, so your work schedule doesn't have to be the obstacle.

When you volunteer, you're connecting with your child's teacher, other parents, and classmates. You become part of the school community, which in turn means you know what's going on and are better able to create a bridge between school and home.
