10. Attend back-to-school night
We know. Parents look forward to back-to-school night about as much as teachers, (we've seen the blank stares on your faces while we talk). No one wants to spend their precious after work hours on campus, but it's important to attend so you know what's going on in your child's classroom and are able to ask and listen to questions. Attendance also provides the opportunity for you to get to know your child's teacher a little better, which is helpful to establish a relationship before challenges arise.
