17. Don't do your child's homework
As tempting as it can be to polish up your child's work, don't do it for them. After all, the point of school is to learn, and she's learning nothing but laziness if you do it for her. And, your child's teacher knows when you take over. It's obvious and won't score you any extra points as a parent. Teachers often rely on homework to gauge if your child is learning and won't be able to adequately support your child if you did the work.
