4. "Help" Them Do It
When your toddler is throwing a fit because they don't want to put on their shoes or get in their car seat, ignoring the tantrum simply gives them what they want. In these cases, it's best to make your child comply.

This does not imply that you should inflict any type of physical harm, but you can place your hands over your child and "help" them pick up their blocks. That loss of autonomy may infuriate them in the moment, but it's a good lesson.
