12. Limit Shows With Branding
It's hard enough to walk through the store without having our 2-year-old ask for "special treats" she sees everywhere. If she was also asking for anything with Paw Patrol or Elmo, I might be more likely to cave. One theory is that if you keep your kids from knowing or obsessing about characters where the branded goods are sold everywhere, it's easier to keep from buying any of it.
