Take It With A Grain Of Salt
We all know that kids don't always tell the truth. I'm not saying students lie (although some do), but it's important to recognize that they don't always fully grasp the situation or share the whole story. I always had an understanding with my parents that if they only believed half the things their kids said about me, I'd only believe half the things they said about them.

We know that when your kid says you have weed growing in the backyard, they mean dandelions. Please extend the same benefit of the doubt to us.
