Moving with kids isn't for the faint of heart. In fact, having just moved 4,000 miles across the Atlantic with a toddler and a baby, I'll admit I'm not going to sign up for another move anytime soon. It's hard on everyone in the family, but if moving with kids is on your to-do list, I learned a lot and I'm here to share my newfound wisdom.

We moved from Houston to Dublin, Ireland, a few months ago, after spending several years in the States adopting our two children. Lack of sleep, new time zone and climate, new red tape to navigate, it all makes moving with kids extra tricky. But hopefully these tidbits will help prepare you for what you learn when you move with kids.
