13. Get Them On A Schedule
Schedules are great for toddlers and older children who thrive on routine and predictability, but trying to get a newborn on one is like asking a honey badger to do an obstacle course.

Like it or not, newborns call the shots. They eat and sleep when they want. Before 3 months or so, it's kind of pointless, and after that, you're really just helping encourage the pattern they've established.
