Repeat after me: you cannot spoil a baby with attention. Especially when they're brand new, a baby's need for love and affection is as acute as their need to be fed, clean, and rested. They're not capable of manipulation (unlike your 3 year-old angling for a pony).

Those first few months are all about developing a trusting relationship. Failure to bond can affect your little one's future development. Responding to your baby and offering comfort will help them grow into more secure and confident children.
