5. Breast Is Best
Objectively, breast milk is the ideal nutrition for a baby. They get antibodies, a lower risk of asthma and allergies, and fewer ear infections. Plus, nursing is convenient, free, and a great way to bond.

Unfortunately, this advice discounts the experiences of many moms. Some mothers cannot breastfeed, and others find it incredibly difficult and painful. For others, it's just not practical or desirable.

What is best for a baby is that they are fed and that mom's decision about how to do so supports her mental, emotional, and physical health.
