15. It’s Challenging Not Being The 'Fun' Parent
"It’s hard having two houses and two sets of rules for the parents and kids. It’s hard having a parent be mentally ill and then dealing with the aftermath in your home. As the kids get older, being there when they realize the "fun" parent isn't so wonderful, consistency really does make sense. It’s hard having your child use guilt to manipulate their biological or stepparent. The good part is having more people play an important role in your child’s life and having support when advocating for them." Kretta M.
