19. Girls Are No Longer Bumped From Succession
The Succession of the Crown Act, which was enacted in 2013, ended the system of male-favoring heirs in England, where a younger son could bump an older daughter in the line of succession. Princess Charlotte was the first royal to benefit from this act, who will continue to stay fourth in line to the throne, even though she has a younger brother, Prince Louis.
