2. They Can't Walk Next To Their Grandma
When your grandma has family over, family members probably arrive to her house in no specific order. It just depends on what time they left their own house. But for the British royal family, people arrive according to their rank.

Each person is given a specific arrival slot, which is based on their status within the family. The more junior members arrive first, whereas more senior members (like Prince Charles, William, and Harry) are among the last to arrive. The same goes with walking. When the family walks together, they have to walk in order of their rank. That means you will rarely see the grandkids walking next to their grandmother at formal events.
