Surprising Rules Royal Children Have To Follow

26. They Learn The Art Of The Thank You Card
The royals are huge on handwriting thank you cards to all well-wishers, and that is passed down to their children. For example, when Diana was recovering from her pregnancy, she wrote 24,000 thank you notes. Before that, when she got married, she sat down with her staff and answered many of the 47,000 letters of congratulation and 10,000 gifts she received. Even though that was a mammoth task, the duchess thought it was important to share one's appreciation.

While William and Harry typically send out typed cards that are mailed by their staff, they learned early on that showing another person gratitude is top of the list. Their children will learn the same thing.
