25. Baby's Gender Stays A Secret
Royals have historically kept their baby's gender a secret until birth, and this has prevailed into modern times. In the Medieval and Tudor times, many people believed that the mother could influence the sex of her child, and that the sex wasn't determined until the very end. Because of this, there were rituals created in order to influence the gender to be a boy. It was a popular belief that a mother's imagination could sway the sex of her baby, so pregnant queens were ordered to think of little sons rather than daughters. Maybe some of those superstitions have lingered into today!
