25. Speaking of dad guilt...
It turns out dads do feel guilty, too:

"When my wife is doing all the mom duties and I'm trying to do my part, too!"
- Chris R.

"Spending too much time focused on work. I know it has to get done, but through my daughter's eyes it doesn't always make sense. Many days she asks me to stay home and I wish I could."
- Alex M.

"With my kids now 20 and 22 and struggling with entering adulthood in particular, I wonder if I screwed up along the way, I worry that I said things that damaged them in some way because you there were times I was so frustrated with them that I said things I shouldn’t have said, I worry that I protected them too much and didn’t let them experience failure and learn how to overcome it, I worry that there were opportunities I could have provided them that I didn’t. I kick myself for not taking them camping and hiking when they were younger because it just seemed like too much work. I regularly have guilt about things that maybe I could have handled better. I continue to have guilt today about my current interactions with them because I can’t let go of my frustration at the mistakes they have both made in the last few years. I have guilt because I can’t figure out how to get over it and move along."
- Mark P.
