Is it common to experience the blues when trying to dry up your milk supply?
QC: I think it’s very common to feel a little sad when you are weaning. It’s just another stage and a sign that your little one is growing up but you should feel proud of how long you nursed no matter the length of time. If you decide to stop and then realize both you and your baby are not ready emotionally, you can always go back to nursing at least once a day and try to stop a little further down the line. If you need to stop for medical or personal reasons but you are feeling overwhelming sadness you should speak to your health care provider.
