When should I stop breastfeeding? What’s the average age that mothers wean babies?
QC: This varies from mom to mom and I suggest taking it three months at a time, but The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that breastfeeding continue for at least 12 months. I usually recommend exclusively breastfeeding, if possible, for the first six months, then begin to introduce babies to solids, in addition to breastfeeding.
