19 Moms Share What Their C-Section Was Really Like

"I’m an American who gave birth in Germany. He was my 3rd child, but my first C-section, so I was put under. I got to my room around 11p.m. and didn’t see a nurse until I called and asked for food and a pump, as my child was taken to a different hospital after birth. I was only given 600 mg of Ibuprofen every six hours for pain. The next morning, a physical therapist came to my room and showed me how to get out of bed and then that was it. A few hours later, I was walking out of the hospital to visit my son at the hospital across town."
