8. It Was Kind Of A Nightmare
"My son was in the NICU for the first weeks of his life, and we spent about two months at home before I returned to work. That time at home was a sleepless blur. I was learning how to eat again after suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum for the last six months of my pregnancy. I went back to work with postpartum depression and a new boss who, on the first day of my return, informed me that I was no longer a telecommuter and needed to commute to the office daily for work. All of a sudden, after having a baby, I couldn't be trusted to do the job I had done for years from home. It was a nightmare." -Kelly G.
