Know When To Come Into The Hospital
“We see many many patients come in at the first sign of contractions,” Sarah explains. “These women become frustrated when they get sent home because they’re not progressing enough. Or they get admitted too soon and then become more likely to receive unnecessary interventions, like Pitocin. I always tell patients to wait it out as long as possible at home. It’s so much more comfortable laboring at home where you can do as you please.”
