20 Lessons You Learn Through Adopting A Baby

When my husband and I were faced with a diagnosis of infertility after trying to start our family for several years, we decided to forego infertility treatments and instead try to adopt. We were quite naive when we began the process, but after two adoptions in the last two and a half years, we've learned so much about adoption, about ourselves, and our children. 

The adoption process can be incredibly grueling, and no matter how quickly you match or how smoothly the process goes, it can take an emotional toll. Here's what I've learned from going through the process twice.
