In early labor, you may see bloody mucus coming out of your vagina as the blood-rich cervix dilates. Known as the "bloody show," it's completely normal. It may also involve passing the mucous plug, which blocked the cervical canal to keep germs out during pregnancy and may now appear as a sticky discharge.
