How To Survive Your First Trimester Of Pregnancy

7. Cravings
Like, aversions, cravings can be intense in pregnancy. You hear in the movies women craving pickles and ice cream, but any pregnant woman will tell you it’s carbs. Sometimes the difference between nausea and vomiting is eating crackers. Or chips. Or burgers and fries. Carbohydrates are pretty neutral in taste and smell and that could be why it’s sometimes the only thing you feel like eating. Luckily, this can go away soon after your first trimester, and there is plenty of time to get in your fruits and vegetables and other healthy foods after. For now, try to focus on eating the good carbs, the ones that are high in fiber and whole wheat, like whole grain crackers and brown rice.
