The First Ultrasound
You will most likely have an ultrasound to confirm your due date somewhere in the first trimester, but usually it’s around eight weeks, unless you’ve gone through fertility treatments or have medical concerns where extra monitoring is needed. It can cause a lot of anxiety to have one, especially if you’ve experienced past miscarriages, and you have concerns about viability. Share your concerns with your doctor, and bring along your partner or a trusted friend or family member to your appointment for support.
