5. Food Aversions
You once loved eating scrambled eggs for breakfast and now just the thought of it makes you sick. Food aversions are caused by hormonal changes (again) and most of the time go away after pregnancy. Sometimes, though, they continue afterward and you realize you can never stomach garlic again. If you don’t want to eat something because it will make you sick, then give yourself permission not to eat it. Pregnancy is only temporary. But if it’s healthy things like meats and chicken, try to get protein from other sources. Make sure you talk to your doctor if your symptoms cause you to not want to eat hardly anything, because it’s also important to eat healthy and maintain calories while growing another human.
