How To Find (And Enjoy!) A Mom's Group
19. Give It Time
Don’t rush trying to find a good group for yourself, and don’t rush the friendships inside of one. Don’t give up if you didn’t like one group, because it just meant it wasn’t a good fit for you. I joined a group last year that immediately put me off from joining another one because I thought all mom groups were like this one. But then I found another that surrounded me in acceptance and I was so glad I decided to take the chance on them. I’ve slowly developed more and more friendships within the group, and I encourage you to do the same. In time, you'll develop relationships built on the common theme of motherhood and a group of women who "get it." No explanation needed.
