How To Deal With Picky Eaters

3. Use The "One Bite" Rule
If you're having trouble with "you don't have to eat it" because kids should have to try it before they decide they don't like it, you can add the "one bite" rule. When introducing a new food, encourage your child to take a bite. If they try it and really don't like it, they don't have to eat it.

This is not to be confused with coaxing your kid to take just two or three more bites. You don't want to get into a debate about what constitutes a bite.
