Play-based schools vary in many ways. Some may follow the Reggio Emila model while others follow a different philosophy or a blend of approaches. The one thing play-based preschools have in common is a focus on learning through play rather than teaching academics. The play-based model follows the belief that children learn through play, building their imaginations instead of being spoon-fed information. They also believe early childhood is meant for this kind of learning and academics will come later.
