Keeping Busy
Mindfulness is a major buzz word these days, and you might be a person who rolls your eyes into the back of your skull every time a new email newsletter hits your inbox telling you to "just breathe." Here's the thing, you can't be the best version of yourself for yourself and the people you love if your head is swimming with chatter that keeps you up at night, or distracts you from the things that are most important. You don't need to chant, burn incense, or invest in a crocheted bra top, but you do need to find ways in your day to slow down, and recognize then dismiss anxiety and stress before they take over.

Meditate, practice yoga, pray, or just sit in your car for five minutes listening to your favorite song before you walk into the crowded store. Then teach your children to do the same so they have the tools to combat the stressful lives that their generation leads to not just survive it, but thrive.
