Blowing up is no good, but pretending everything is fine doesn't work very well either. We have disagreements and friction in life and in our relationships. Actually, that friction is what keeps relationships alive and growing.

Talking things through or expressing your dissenting opinion is healthy and real. Let your kids see you navigating rough waters in a way that you're proud of, and they will learn to sail their own ships.
