Follow The 5-5-5 Plan
In natural birth circles, the 5-5-5 plan is famed for getting you back on your feet faster by taking it slower for the first couple weeks. Women swear by it.

Spend the first five days entirely in bed, with the occasional trip to the bathroom or diaper change. Nurse, rest, repeat. The second five days you still go slow but can be a little more mobile around the house, while also spending part of the day in bed. Your focus is bonding and care for baby and yourself. The last five days, you can move even more around the house, but you still stay home.

The idea is to let your body heal and give you the chance to connect with your new baby with as little interruption as possible.
