And Then The IVF Nurse
Then we meet with the nurse to go over a ton of paperwork. We go over my medications, the process in detail, sign the consent forms, take my weight, blood pressure, and height, and get some lessons on how to give the shots.

The forms consent us to the procedure, and also give us space to decide what to do with any embryos created that we won’t end up using. It’s hard when you’re at the beginning of something to think about the end of your family-building journey, but there it is. We need to decide what to do with any leftover embryos when we are done.

Since I am a nurse, we don’t go through the whole shot teaching process, but the nurse shows my husband how to give me a shot in my backside.
