From the time they are born, we start saying things to our offspring again and again, starting with, "Uh oh. Did you poop?" "Are you sleepy?" "Do you need a nap?"

By the time they're wearing shoes, going to school, and starting to take on some real responsibilities it's a fine line between reminding our kids incessantly and letting them learn on their own. From forgetting to pack a lunch to remembering to wear socks with tennis shoes to avoid blisters and a serious stink, it can take learning firsthand for some lessons to take hold.
