5. Check Out The Timer Method
A kitchen timer can be an excellent tool in potty training, but it's also the focal point of an entire method. Over the course of a few days, you give your child fluids (a lot of fluids) and set the timer to go off every 20 minutes. This is to remind you to take them to the bathroom, but it also serves to help your child make the connection between the feeling of having to pee and sitting on the toilet.
