Summer vacation can be tricky. You look forward to the freedom of not having to deal with a school drop off for so long, but then you quickly remember that the days don't fill themselves. Your kids start getting bored and you realize a few new activities would go a long way in keeping them occupied and entertained. 

I'm not a big fan of projects to do with kids that take a lot of time or money to set up. I like the cheap, simple ideas, and most often, so do my kids. This list is packed full of ideas that won't cost an arm and a leg to put together, but will give your kids that extra boost of fun that summer vacation is supposed to involve.
