Labor Doesn't End After The Baby
This one isn't so much as a surprise, but definitely worth mentioning — you will have to deliver the placenta after you push out your baby. There can be complications in this phase, the placenta may become stuck or not come out in-tact. But, far more likely, you'll feel another pushing sensation after your baby is out and will easily be able to get that placenta out too.
