23. Be Present As A Rule, Not An Exception
Be present when you’re spending time with others. Keep your phone in your purse, out of reach, or leave it in the car as you go on a family walk. Store your phone in the coat closet at home so it doesn't interrupt meals and conversations.

Make this a family policy to model being present for your kids. More and more studies are pointing to problems with mental health that result from Smartphone addiction. Consider installing an app that reports on your Smartphone use to raise awareness and help you break the phone habit.
