What are some of your top tips and recommendations for pregnant mothers?
QC: I think people expect breastfeeding to come naturally to them and are surprised and disappointed if it doesn’t, but don’t be so hard on yourself if you need guidance. There is a bit of a learning curve for both you and the baby!

I recommend taking a prenatal breastfeeding class to get a good sense of what to expect once your baby is born. It will help prepare you for everything from how to get your baby to latch to creating a relaxing environment for you to pump. You’ll also meet other expecting moms in the process, which can be extremely helpful if this is your first baby. I’ve found that mom communities, like here on Peanut, can be incredibly helpful tools for navigating the ups and downs of mom life!
