Set Up Childcare Early
In those first few months, it seems like your baby is asleep a lot. But as he grows more active and engaged, he'll become harder to keep occupied while you work from home.

Early on, even during pregnancy, research the childcare options near you. From home daycares to nanny shares, babysitting co-ops to babysitters, find out what childcare will cost so you can make an informed choice rather than feel rushed after some very frustrating days for you and your baby.

And schedule childcare for much of, if not all, the time when you will be working. It's unrealistic to think that your toddler will be napping at the same time every day or that she can occupy herself when you're in the middle of a project.
