Identifying Money
Once your child is old enough to know not to put change in their mouth, you can start teaching them the names of the most common coins in U.S. circulation: the penny, nickel, dime, and quarter. Classifying is a great skill for toddlers anyway, so having your 2 or 3 year-old sort the change in your pocket does double duty.
