Take It Slow
Your OB/GYN or midwife will likely provide recommendations for your level of physical activity for each week of your recovery. The most important recommendation, however, is to take it slow. There’s no need to jump off the couch or walk at your normal speed. You don’t want to slow your recovery by injuring yourself or wearing yourself out. Set your pace to calm and careful, especially during the initial days post-surgery.
