23. Myth: Children That Homeschool Must Meet The Same Standards As Typically Schooled Children
Truth: Laws that govern homeschooling families vary by state. In some states, you can file as a private school and become self governing. Some states have options to enroll in a public homeschool charter that will provide families with funds to pay for curriculum, lessons, fieldtrips and classes but require them to meet the same requirements as a children in public schools. The level of oversight for homeschooling families varies greatly by state.
