2. Myth: Kids That Homeschool Are Weird
Truth: Being a bit of a weirdo is part of what makes kids awesome, right? Homeschooled kids don’t have the peer pressure of a typical school classroom, so they are more comfortable being their (yes, sometimes weird) selves. Homeschooling didn’t make them weird, but it allows them to embrace it without shame.

It is common for homeschooled children to mature at a slower pace and many parents consider that a good thing. An extended childhood might  allow our kids to play with dolls longer and be slower to take an interest in romantic relationships. Their entire lives move at a pace that they set, not society, so they grow up in their own time.
